Lenovo Thinkpad T450 Disassembly (RAM, SSD, HDD Upgrade Guide)

In this post, I will show you how to disassemble Lenovo Thinkpad T450, I will remove RAM, hard drive, bottom case, cooling fan and motherboard. Refer to the guides to repair, upgrade and clean your Thinkpad T450.

My target is add a M.2 SSD and a 4GB RAM for my Thinkpad T450.
Make sure the laptop is turned off before you start to take it apart.

Specification:
CPU: Intel Core i7-5500U
RAM:4GB DDR3L 1600HMz
HDD:500GB 7200RPM
GPU:NVIDIA GeForce GT 940M
Screen:14.0-inch 1366 x 768

Unlock and remove the battery.
Remove all screws securing the bottom case.

Lenovo Thinkpad T450 coming with 3 cells Li-ion battery.

Pry up and remove the bottom case.
Under the bottom case, we can get access to the RAM, WLAN, SSD, speakers, built-in battery, heat sink and cooling fan.

All the parts were covered by anti-static plastic film.

Hard disk covered with aluminum film, seems to be able to promote cooling.

I will add a 128GB SSD, and upgrade RAM to 8GB.

    Just wanted to know if I can add a hard drive in addition to existing 128 GB SSD. Is there is enough space for it or what size of hard drive or additional ssd could fit in?
